4 Short Bible Studies for Busy Christian Women

When life is busy, consistency in studying God’s Word can feel out of reach. That’s why I love short Bible studies and believe they are so effective. They can work with your crazy schedule instead of against it.

As a wife and working mom who is raising four boys, I’m always looking for Bible studies that allow me to engage with Scripture in a meaningful way without requiring hours of my time. That’s not to say I don’t wish I had more time to be in the Word. I do. But I also don’t want to wait to pursue spiritual growth until my season of life changes.

I’m currently working in the fashion industry and, let me tell you, it’s an industry that moves quickly. Time always seems short. A phrase I often say in work interactions is, “Just give me the bullet points!” Asking for the highlights allows me to get a concentrated version of the important facts in a quick sound bite.

That is exactly why I love a short Bible study. Short studies can get us to the heart of the matter quickly and concisely. Short Bible studies make it possible to find meaningful insights even when we don’t have hours of study time.

I also serve in leadership over the women’s ministry at my church. I am always looking for women’s Bible studies that our small groups can both benefit from and stick with.

In our day-to-day lives, there is a powerful sense of accomplishment when we finish what we start. And the same is true of a Bible study for women. When we finish these short Bible studies, we gain confidence and momentum to continue in our pursuit of God’s Word.

But let’s be real—when you’re juggling work, family, and personal goals, finding the time to sit in God’s Word can easily slip to the bottom of the list.

Whether you’re squeezing your study in between meetings, during your kids’ sports practices, or tagging it onto the end of a long day, I want to share a few short studies that are designed to fit into your life without overwhelming it.

Plus, all four of these studies come with access to streaming video teachings that enhance the lessons!  Even on the busiest days, you could listen to the video while eating your lunch, folding laundry, or sitting in carpool.

1. Being Fully Known by Dr. Saundra Dalton-Smith

Being Fully Known by Dr. Saundra Dalton-Smith invites us to embrace who God created us to be, rather than striving to meet others’ expectations. We are already fully known and deeply loved. Let’s live like it!

This study helps us discover what it means to live with that confidence. It’s written for those of us who hold back out of our fear of rejection.

I love that she offers an optional fast to coincide with the study. Even when we’re short on time, we can still practice spiritual disciplines.

  5. Will God make wrong things right?
  6. Will I be okay?
